Morning on the Monongahela

At 6:30 AM, after a rainy night, I went down to the dock with my coffee. The river was up a little bit, fast and a little muddy, and the clouds were breaking up. It was a scene I had to capture! I ran for my camera and took dozens of shots as the clouds moved away.

This painting has won several distinctions and awards. It won "Best of Show" in its first exhibition. It was given an Honorable Mention in "The Artist's Magazine" international competition. It was juried into this year's "Best of the Best" exhibit by Art Impact International in Washington DC. And it has also graced the cover of a bank's calendar.
